The 10 Keys To Personal Power

Key 1: Clarity

"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life.  Have a sense of direction and know where you’re going.  If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."

It is important to have clarification because it you need to know what you want to be successful. You can not be successful and not know what you want. If you know what you want in life you can work hard to achieve it. Have a clear mind on what you want is what Brain Tracy said."Clarity comes from knowing what you want and from moving in the direction towards it. Your soul is guiding and supporting you every step of the way." You can not be successful without having clarity because you will not know which way to work in order to be successful. You need to know what you want to be or have to work towards. 

Key 2: Competence

"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

Competence is the ability to do something and be successful at it at a high rate. If you chose to do the right things and do well at them you may be successful in life and in whatever you chose to do. Competence is working hard towards being excellence at what you do. Another important part of competence is being efficient. But you need to be committed with what you do. You need to be really good at what you do. an example of competence can be a pianist playing the piano well, even at a high rate. "Love what you do.Get good at it. Competence is a rare commodity in this day and age."-John Stewart- This means that their is a really low percentage of people who actually try to ave competence. 

Key 5: Creativity

"Except the fact that every human being is a genius.  The hallmark of creativity is asking questions.  The people who are most creative ask the most questions." 

You need to be creative if you want to be successful because creativity opens doors for you. Especially for business creativity helps you be successful. This is because when you are creative you think outside of the box, you think about other things people dont think about. You get new ideas and ideas that are different creative and unique. And shoot for the moon and have high expectations for yourself because even if you miss you'll still land somewhere in the stars which means that even though you didn't reach your original goal you will still achieve  the second goal another the first one represented by the stars under the moon. " See what the others dont see(this is being creative)." This quote means that being creative opens the door to what others can not be opened to because they do not have that imagination. Being creative separates you from other people in this competitive world. 

Key 6: Consideration

"The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life."

"Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator.  Take courses in listening, speaking, etc."

"If you were to learn one new word a day, within 5 years, you’ll be the best educated person in history."

Consideration is a key to success because when  you show this to other people you get more knowledge. If you are considerate to others you are developing communication skills. Communication skills are important because to be successful you are gonna have to work with multiple different people that you may not like but you have to earn to communicate with them. Successful people work with people of different races color religion but a very critical key is how good you  are at communicating. Some careers are marketing you need to get your product out there by being good communicators and considerate of want the people want or like. Also the quality of the relationship with other people. The ability to get your point out to other people. You have to have good relationships with others and high self esteem and have goals this will lead to accomplishments but the key is consideration.

Key 7: Consistency

"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."

Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work.  Be the person that people can depend upon.  That if you say you’ll do something you do it.."

Being consistent is success key number 7 because you can not be successful with out being consistent. Consistent is what gets you to the top because being consistent means that you are great at something always to very often. When you are consistent you are dependable which gives you more opportunity. When you are consistent you start to develop good habits and these good habits are habits that are needed to be successful. First what you have to do is master the basis then practice it on a daily basis with out failure. You keep your consistency everyday.

Key 8: Commitment

"No success is possible without commitment.  The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."

Commitment is one of the most important keys to success because without commitment none of the rest matter. Without commitment you throw everything away its a waste. If you commit to something you are basically saying that you will give it your all constantly without giving up."There's always a way-if you're committed." This quote is saying that if you are a committed person and you are looking to succeed at something. For example if you are trying to pass a test and are not committed to learning you will fail. But if you commit your self to learning and staying after school, stay for tutoring, ask questions on what you do not understand then you you go home and do your homework on your own then you are bound to success. But the reason why was because of you being committed. I will incorporate this in my life by thinking about commitment during school and practice think about why i am working at something and stay committed.  

Key 9: Courage

"The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life."

Courage is key number 9 because without courage you will not put your self out their to accomplish something great. You can not be afraid to fail because the fear of failure can or even will lead you to fail. This is why you need to have courage go out in the world and try new and different things have courage to be great. Have courage to believe in your self. Have confidence that you are greatness waiting to happen. You must have the courage to take rest for example apply to colleges. Have the ability and willing to face your fears. You must confront your fears because then they will disappear. You need to dare to go forward. Pick your self up when you get knocked down because brave people get up and move forward. You need the develop the quality of being unstoppable. "Give it your best shot' This is the quote i chose because it goes hand and hand with courage.
